Celebrate Liberty’s artistic and cultural heritage with an exclusive art print, a digital copy of an iconic design discovered deep in the Liberty archive.
This collection of unframed inkjet prints pays homage to Liberty’s vast scope of archival designs that span across the last century and a half, from the Arts and Crafts and Aesthetic Movements to ‘70s-era Bauhaus graphics and ‘90s grunge florals. They are printed using UV inks on 250gsm matt smooth conservation fine art paper for rich colours with depth that complement the vivid artwork. Originally devised as a wallpaper border in c.1902 by French artist René Beauclair, Ianthe was first printed for Liberty in 1967 as part of the decade’s revival of ornate Art Nouveau styles. It was reimagined for the ‘swinging London’ market by the Haward Studio, a family textile firm who sold designs to Liberty for three generations, from the Edwardian era to the 1980s. Hang the print in an entrance hall or incorporate it into a gallery wall to bring a little archival magic to your living space.
