In celebration of Chinese New Year 2025, Liberty Fabrics has created a capsule collection to welcome the Year of the Snake. Delving into the rich and mystical symbolism of this zodiac sign, the fabrics studio have designed prints exploring nuances from the reptile’s native foliage to its mesmerising form, with ornate motifs honing in on minute details as well as patterns of bold abstraction. Influenced by an array of references from the archival to the contemporary, get ready to reign in Chinese Lunar New Year with this parade of exuberant prints.
Adapted from an archival hand-painted artwork, this unique pattern cleverly combines serpentine finesse with geometric accents. The backdrop features an abstract representation of a swirling snake, while the top layer consists of a series of chequered stripes. A beautiful juxtaposition of styles makes a subtle nod to the Year of the Snake.
Tana Lawn™ cotton is a fabric built by obsession, perfected into a modern masterpiece of production through a bespoke process that has evolved over a century. Printed in our very own Liberty Printing Mill, located between Milan and Lake Como in northern Italy, Tana realises unmatchable fluidity with a silk-like touch, unique print quality and striking colour vibrancy. Machine washable and durable enough for daily wear, it can be used to create everything from simple separates to spectacular statement pieces.
