Editor's Notes

This cat incense holder from Astier de Villatte is created in collaboration with modern Japanese artist Countess Setsuko Klossowski de Rola – a languid and delightfully strange object, perfect for a cosy living space.

Handcrafted on the Rue St. Honoré in Paris with Setsuko Klossowski de Rola, this little feline is formed from black terracotta with a milky white glaze. It features a hidden cache on the underside in which to store matchsticks or incense, which also allows you to clear out old ash easily. Pair with smoky, sweet or spicy incense sticks according to your preference, and fill your living space with evocative fragrance – an ideal gift for home scent-lovers.
