Editor's Notes

The Rafter jumper from Loopy Ewes forms part of a limited collection of artisan works presented in partnership with Crafts Council.

Painstakingly handcrafted by shepherd, designer and maker Katie Allen, under her brand Loopy Ewes, this jumper is made using the yarns from her flock of native breed sheep, reared in a way that values natural systems and regenerates biodiversity. The Rafter jumper in royal blue is inspired by the expansive fields of blue flowers and green foliage you see when flax blooms across the fields. It combines organically dyed royal blue and moss yarns with a lemon-yellow contrasting rib detail to the cuffs and hem. Offering a relaxed, boxy fit, it’s designed to sit just below the hips for a flattering shape, while the oversized rollneck is perfect for snuggling into on colder days.
