The Synopsis

Introducing: a rose fragrance for the modern perfume aficionado. That’s the promise from Liberty LBTY. Fragrance’s Wild Rosinda, 100ml, £225. Taking its inspiration from one of the most storied scents in the traditions of perfumery, Wild Rosinda is everything you love about rose, dialled up a notch.

The Rise to Fame

As part of the LBTY. Fragrance collection, Wild Rosinda’s roots lie in the moody archive print from which it was developed, in this case: Decadent Blooms. But there’s nothing twee about these roses, which sit against a seductive and mysterious backdrop. In perfume form, this translates to smouldering amber and woody base notes that make this fragrance an enigmatic delight.

The Credentials

With its richly mysterious profile, the notes of Wild Rosinda are an exploration of the unexpected. Against the key middle notes of Bulgarian rose and geranium sit saffron, wild current, ivy and black pepper. The notes develop in harmony, unfurling on the skin like the petals of its namesake flower.

The Star Quality

Created in partnership between two perfumers, Honorine Blanc & Hamid Merati-Kashani, Wild Rosinda is an exploration of sensuality.

"A man’s perception of sensuality is different from a woman’s, especially in the world of addictive sensuality through the smell of roses,” explains Blanc. “When a woman thinks of sensuality, she thinks of texture, for a man, it's more a matter of intensity. Hamid has a mastery of certain intense elements in ingredients, while I soften the sensuality in a more creamy way.”
