Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella
If you’re seeking storied heritage to infuse your interiors with an air of elegant opulence, look no further than Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella. Considered the world’s oldest pharmacy, the Florentine label was founded in 1221 by a group of Dominican friars who cultivated a lush botanical garden, harvesting efficacious plant ingredients for medicines, ointments and balms. The country estate is now home to Wildsmith’s luxury spa The Bothy, where their formulations are used to help guests reconnect with nature and with themselves. Crafted in small batches in England, the aromatic range of body care and lifestyle products are made from traceable botanical ingredients – many of which are grown biodynamically on Heckfield’s Home Farm – then packaged in handcrafted ceramic bottles, produced by one of the last remaining potteries in Stoke-on-Trent.
