Summerill & Bishop present the Central Park tablecloth in collaboration with John Derian, influenced by Derian’s unique and evocative sensibility that is inspired by 18th and 19th century imagery.
The collection between two arbiters of home styling celebrates storytelling with an eclectic visual feast – an invitation to step into a world where the charming and the curious set the tone and where time goes that little bit slower, at the table. Inspired by an 19th century illustration straight from John Derian’s extensive archive, this gravure style table linen features an iconic view of Bow Bridge, from Central Park Lake. Discover a more modest New York, at a moment in time before modernity met Manhattan, beautifully created from pure French linen to showcase the rich, sweeping hues.
“With the collection, we wanted to bring together both our worlds by combining Summerill & Bishop artistry with John’s cult classic collaging. The result is a maximalist and illustrative display with three distinct feelings. I hope the collection encourages all those that sit around it, to pause and to enjoy their time together at the table.”
