Editor's Notes
Bitossi’s rounded vase is a member of the Italian brand’s iconic Rimini Blu ceramic series – each glazed a distinctive blue, and decorated with a frieze of abstract geometric imprints.
Bitossi has been producing the Rimini Blu series for 60 years – a true touchstone of Italian home interiors, each piece from the collection is handmade by skilled craftspeople in Italy according to heritage techniques. The series was originally designed by Aldo Londi, who used to fill his pockets with little implements like wires, screws and nails to produce their intricately imprinted detailing. This ceramic figure is treated with a vibrantly glossy blue glaze – an eye-catching piece for a bookshelf, desk or side table.
About Bitossi
Bitossi and its unmistakable ceramics are an indelible part of Italy’s design history. Unusual, elegant and simply a pleasure to look at, the ceramics – and particularly the Rimini Blu collection designed in the early 50s – have etched themselves onto the hearts of collectors around the world. Made by hand in the same Montelupo Fiorentino studio where the brand was founded in the early 1900s, each piece is one of a kind.
