Editor's Notes

Designed in-house, the poplin Lily mini dress from Liberty features voluminous statement sleeves and a V-neckline, expertly printed with our studio-painted Ophelia artwork.

Liberty’s Autumn 2020 womenswear collection embraces a witty and art-inflected maximalism inspired by the ornate gothic and Art Nouveau revival styles of Bernard Nevill, Liberty’s Design Director of the 1960s and ‘70s. The Lily mini dress is crafted from poplin, with a silk-blend lining. It is expertly printed with our Ophelia design – celebrating the beauty of the creative process, this artwork references the painstaking nature of traditional screen-printing techniques. Its peony motif was painted in-house in Liberty’s London studio.
