Editor's Notes

As part of the FORWARD 2 collection for PLEATS PLEASE, Issey Miyake’s signature pleated trousers are updated with a new three-dimensional pleating technique. These subtly avant-garde trousers are tailored to a straight, wide shape, complete with an elasticated waistband and two side-slip pockets in a bold magenta hue.

About Pleats Please Issey Miyake
Japanese designer Issey Miyake founded the Miyake Design Studio in Tokyo in 1970. Miyake quickly became known for his groundbreaking pleating techniques; using heat to imbue fabric with a ‘memory’ that keeps pleats in place. Pleats Please launched in 1993 as a capsule collection of Miyake’s patented pleating and today incorporates sculptural dresses, jackets and separates.
