Step into an eclectic array of flora and fauna with Liberty’s latest interiors fabric collection, Botanical Atlas – perfect for adventurous tastemakers looking to bring the outside in. Showcased in five sophisticated colour palettes of Lacquer, Lapis, Lichen, Jade and Pewter; this collection reimagines the natural world as intricately woven textures and illustrations, transporting you to Sir Arthur Lasenby Liberty’s remarkable expeditions across Japan, China, Persia and India in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. From trailing Chinoiserie motifs and Indian Mughal paintings to miniature Persian gardens and art from the Japanese Edo period, this inherently Liberty collection reinterprets traditional techniques with modern accents.
For those thinking this collection looks familiar, you’d be right. Created alongside Liberty’s Botanical Atlas Wallpaper collection, this curated collection follows the same storyline and spotlights familiar fantastical motifs while also incorporating rich layered embroideries, textured weaves, and contemporary printed velvets and linens. Each print has been meticulously hand-painted in Liberty’s Design Studio in the heart of London, before being brought to life by expert textile makers in Italy, Belgium, and India.
And if this isn’t reason enough to journey into the world of Botanical Atlas, take a look for yourself…
