Notes From Stine Seger
How would you describe Bibbi in one sentence?
A mind-shifting, contemporary haute parfumerie collection inspired by unique narratives and stories which I experience during meditation - a subconscious journey in blue.
What’s one thing you’ve learned you launched Bibbi, that you wish you had known sooner?
Everyone told me that launching a brand would be hard work and they were so right. From the beginning, building Bibbi has been full of surprises and I learn something new every day.
I’m actually happy I didn’t know more before I started and truly believe that naivety has played a huge part in the brands success simply because I’ve remained determined to create something that feels truly unique, authentic and reflective of my creative journey.
Tell us the story behind The Other Room…
During meditation, I found myself at an exclusive masked ball. All formalities were suspended for a few hours, and the rich, famous, and infamous, were dancing, flirting and experiencing assignations until dawn. Social ranking and gender rules were erased and forgotten. Everyone was disguised as whomever they wanted to be and some of us were invited to The Other Room….
What’s your favourite thing about the fragrance?
I love how it makes me feel, and the reaction I get from people around me whenever I’m wearing it. It’s an incredibly sophisticated blend of carnation, saffron, patchouli and vetiver which smells absolutely beautiful as it warms and settles onto skin.
Do you have any expert tips for people searching for their signature scent?
Always take your time exploring fragrances, and ask for samples to try on your skin allowing the scent time to settle and for you to notice how it changes throughout the day. Finding a new fragrance is such a personal journey so trust your instinct and consider how the scent makes you feel. Your signature scent should make you feel your absolute best.
When it comes to advent calendars: are you an “open all at once” or a “strictly one day at a time” person?
One at a day for sure! I love the anticipation of waiting to see what surprises are behind each door.
