Where does The Liberty Beauty Advent Calendar go when it’s not Christmas? Follow its journey back to Liberty ahead of the official launch
For ten years, the Liberty Beauty Advent Calendar has been delighting customers, arriving on their doorsteps packed with gifts from the Liberty Beauty Hall. But have you ever wondered where it goes before arriving home for the festive season? This year, we followed the calendar on its journey, from beach days to train rides and beyond.
Beauty at the Beach
The summer holidays are a time to enjoy a well-deserved break. That includes the Liberty Beauty Advent Calendar, one of the hardest workers of the Christmas period. Just like everyone else, it spent the summer relaxing on a beach in the sunshine, wearing a pair of Loewe sunglasses, a sunhat, and a layer of SPF.
Out of sight, but not out of mind - the calendar knew that Christmas would soon roll around again. Pre-orders for this year’s edition opened whilst the calendar was on holiday, so it sent a postcard to Liberty customers to let them know that it would soon return to celebrate its 10th anniversary.
Full Steam Ahead
In August, the Beauty Advent Calendar began its journey back to Liberty. Folding up its towel and packing its contents back into the 25 drawers, the calendar boarded the Kent and East Sussex Railway steam train en route back to London. Picking up a newspaper to read on the journey, the calendar was surprised to find that it had made the headlines. Excitement was in the air - rumour had it that this year’s edition was the best yet.
The Arrival
September means the end of the summer holidays. It's when everyone goes back to work - including the Liberty Beauty Advent Calendar. After ensuring that each of the 28 products was in its correct drawer, the calendar hailed a black cab, arriving at Liberty just in time for the official launch. Pulling up outside the iconic Tudor facade, customers peered excitedly through the taxi window, eager to catch sight of the calendar. The countdown to Christmas had officially begun.
