Editor's Notes
The Coquillage dish from Astier de Villatte accents your dining arrangement with marine-inspired appeal. Ideal for serving up juicy prawns or succulent scallops, it can be employed as a sharing dish or personal plate to complete your table setting. Crafted by hand in the brand’s Parisian studios, this platter is made from black terracotta clay with a traditional pale glaze, lending the platter its distinctive milky-white finish. It is constructed to resemble a delicate seashell, but is surprisingly durable and tough.
“We ask people to produce with a good spirit so the pieces look almost alive.”
Benoît Astier de Villatte and Ivan Pericoli, Astier founders
